Familiar with Hannah Baker? No other than herself, the main character of 13 reasons why. The Character who killed herself because of this feeling is called DEPRESSION.
Depression means a feeling of severe despondency and dejection that causes oneself to be incredibly lonely and self-dependent. What made her Depressed, led her to her Bathtub Suicidal Case? She felt like the world was against her, Unfavorable Environment, bullied in school, and Abused emotionally, verbally, and sexually. Symptoms are Trouble concentrating, remembering details, and making decisions, Fatigue, Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness, Pessimism, hopelessness, Insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or sleeping too much, Irritability, Restlessness, and Loss of interest in things once pleasurable such as their previous interests.
Hannah Baker is just a representation of any other girl who commits suicide every day because of these reasons, such as the extremities of life. More and more people are engaged in slitting wrists as a standard way of suicide and other methods such as hanging yourself with your heads on. She made a picture of how society creates an atmosphere of stereotyping that made her mind end her life.
Furthermore, Depression makes people not give the rights of a person hope, future, and vigorous life whom any person would want to. It makes a prison for humans to total freedom and unleashes their potential. It makes a person in jail of her insecurities and pains that significantly impacted her death.
We can prevent Depression by helping ourselves first, renewing our mindset, second is that you surround yourself with people who will uplift you, and lastly, have interests that will shift your mind from that so-called ILL feeling. YOU CAN OVERCOME DEPRESSION, YOU CAN HAVE A LIFE, BUT YOU HAVE TO CONQUER IT!
